Dumb people and plans

Yesterday i was at the farewell of two great guys who walked to Vilnius on foot and made mistake to write one finnish guy that nobody would mind him coming. Biiig mistake. He took it as inwite ans started sending sms and calling 'to meet'. I wrote him that i gave him adress already and he arrived with bag of cheap booze only bomžai are drinking and telling that he thought it was  houseparty. Later he followed us to actual houseparty and non stop talked mosty pure nonse. Then even started tread about Schengen. Dan, i really hate when people talk about legislation while only guessing what is written there. He told that he's planning buy bomžai booze and sell to finnish drunkheads and after i told that there are limits to things you can transport he started reapeating 'shengen shengen shengen' basically non stop. It was first time in long period when i felt as if explaining to person who believes that earth is flat that it's actually turning. And is so convinced that he's right that calls opinion 'shengen'. Ufff... I was glad when it was over and that person is gone. i siply hate criminals who thinks that they are doing nothing bad and are borderline alcoholics.
That day i managed to leave one of my favourite places without paying and thankfully i'm not in black list for forgetting it :) It seems that midsummer plans are also made - most probably going to Degantis Jonas fest. Wrote email to organisers to be sure - i plan to sleep for some time not to be annoyingly frustrated and don't want to survive another weeday when music was playing from 6 in the morning. Seems it would be great weekend :)

Also i was thinking about term "political correct". It's very important in country of close minded people who thinks it's center of the world and english is the only language they speak, but for me it was kinda funny sometimes. Once i got in the discussion about svastika and was called 'nazi' because it's simbol of the sun who was used and still being used in traditional handicrafts for ages, event before USA was founded. So respect to my background wasn't 'politically corect'. There in Lithuania most closed minded and agressive people are usually lithuanian-polish and lithuanian-russians. Polish is worst actually as they live in small communitys, don't really interact with locals, use their language, go to their churces, have their shools, marry amongst them and calls Vilnius 'nashe Wilno'. Some of them even don't speak lithuanian. I never saw reason why to live in another country if you just hide in yours own shell and don't even try to know country and integrate there, Lithuanin russians mostly are okay, just older people don;t even plan to learn language as it's assumed lithuanians should speak russian (most of foreigners are stupid enough to make that assumption till now, insulting locals that they speak with russian accent or so). I was suprisde when i learned that russian russians and polish polish are totally opposite - friendly and nice people. In coucnsurfing there's one lithianian polish who has no self respect and zero social skills so still lives with his mother. he hates locals, contantly insults them and identifies himself as polish, not even lithuanian polish. And is supported by CS staff. Even when he insulted homosexuals he was supported to go on. That's not politically correct and was called 'expressing himself'. So double standars in term of being politically correct.

Wandering

So this Saturday was once again spent in Trakai as there was medieval festival there. It was really great and lucky me and fellow travellers day was sunny (after few hours in the sun, i already have some red skin, what happens when i don't use sunblock on my fair skin). One thing organizers should know - come on, if you organize 'medieval' festival, only beer you have should be "Švyturys" made from powder and drinkable only to foreigners and desperate locals. We have so many great local breweries! Sice i had only coffee in the morning i took oportunity to try caramel apple
i never tried it before and i really like it. Apple itself was delicious and big (probably polish) and caramel coating made it even better. I also got myself ring depicting selpent. I liked it so much, i gave him name - Juozukas and now i can stroke his head if i'm nervous or just for luck.
Medieval dances were also quite enjoyable, althouh one looked quite funny for me
- it looked like girl couldn't choose between two guys and guy can't choose betweek two girls so they made some exchange in their triangles. Knowing that all Lithuanian folk songs are either about drinking beer or guy going to war and expecting that girl would wait for him it looked quite modern.
What was really awesome was jocker.
He was straightforward, funny, making jokes and was really good with kids. Me and my acquitance from Scotland really enjoyed it. We even appeared in gallery in news and "news" blog 15min.lt . He was even able to make jokes about Kaunas, Poland and Estonia without insulting anybody. Everybody was laughing all the tim :) when i was in Kaunas last time after telling where i'm from i was asked 'So... you hate us" and literally didn't know how to react to that statement.
The perfomance by Doll theatre "Lėlė"  "Trys paršiukai" based on fairytale about three little pigs was also really nice, although programme said it's for kids,
it was clear that grown ups enjoyed it as well. I especially liked perfomance of the wolf, who was funny, good with kids and enjoyable to watch. My fellow traveller enjoyed it was well, although didn't understand language. She also made some paper and later we took off. We went to Kybynlar for kibins and real local beer. I never got why for kibins main streem goes to "Senoji kibininė" which is always noisy and kibins are much much better in "Kybynlar", but it's nice that you can always find some place and space there. After trying kibins on way to bus station we found some local value "knaipė" which worked ridicuously slow, but everything was twice as much cheaper than in most of places in Vilnius. Later took of to Vilnius, went to herbs market and then parted as it was time for me to volunteer at Let there be the night event. My place was at event called "Varpų šešėlyje" and my job was to look that were wouln't be any underage youngsters and kids.Time went quite quickly but when i was free there were basically no intersting events going on apart from concerts so i basically didn't experience that "cultural night" what was more cultural evening. Concerts were rather good though, especially Victor Diawara.
Good thing was that there were night buses because our stupid "heads" meras Zuokas and Gintas Bliuvas who don't use public transport and has money for taxi believe that after 23:00 or even 22:45 there's no need for public transport. I can't understand if it because they are stupid, don't use logic and don't care about people's needs, they expect people to spend free time at home or they expect everybody to be party animals going all night long. I wrote email asking that and kinda expect stupid answer...
Today i'm having strawberries with sugar. Tastes really yummy :)

Weekend stuff

This should be good weekend. Today i don't really have plans as i'm tired after long week doing my paperwork stuff. Yesterday i went to really great bar Route 66 to watch movie "Donnie Darko" and have some beers, but dues to out stupid city municipality to make all troleybuses run at least half hour in summer had to leave early. Today i wrote them e-mail asking who and based on which logic made that very very stupid decision. Maybe they just had agreement with Zuokas' taxi ? If not everybody who live not in the center has to either call taxi, walk home or run to last trolleybus at 23.00 instead of 23.36 . F*** logic? Definitely.

Tommorow i'm planing to go to meeting at White elephants cafe and maybe go to Trakai in the morning. Weather should be really good and sunny. Or maybe go to PARKuok kitaip event in old town streets. This weekend definitely should be very good weekend :)

Salt city

Last friday i woke up and spontaneousely decided that i don't want to spend day in Vilnius. Weather was rather cold but my crazy mind decided to go to Druskininkai which is about two hours away. It's nots season yet and all the way was raining but i decided to go with it.
When i arrived first sight i met was ducks around the lake. Brave ducks. But as this city is called resort maybe they are already used to tourists.
After walking around a alke for a while i decided to search for some sights. Still raining. Pouring. Found church. Actually not much more to see there. Also rain was pouring, so i was wet and quite grumpy.
Later found some more, but most sights marked on the map i got in information center which i found after thinking i got lost were spas. There are nice park though. And some museums. But it's more spas city with nothink much to sight see. I believed i would have enjoyed it much more if not pouring rain all day. It made hot bath very much enjoyable though.
